Welsh_Tourer Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Hello all, I've just joined WSCC as I am thinking of getting a Westy. Would it be OK if I came along on Wednesday for advice etc? I live near Hay on Wye, but work near Newbridge. I've always lusted after a 7 after a ride in a mate's MKIV lotus, and came across the Westfield version when I was at the BBC engineering training centre in 1985 and one of the staff there had one - I think he knew or was connected in some way with Westfields. Anyway I think I'm finally in a position to get one of my own. Cheers Neil Quote

limee Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Hi Neil, As Les said your more then welcome to join the boys, have you started looking for a westi yet or are you thinking of building your own . Cheers Lionel Quote
Dibby Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 Come along Neil, if you want a chance to have a poke around various cars for comparisons, you could grab a passenger ride on this Wednesday's run. Like Les said, we've only met up a few times but it's been good, a good range of self-built and bought cars, some more sedate cars to some right hooligan machines, lots of experience and knowledge in the club if you're thinking of buying a Westy. Come along for a pint and a chin wag. Quote
Conehead Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 Yeah come along more the merrier BUT WHAT EVER YOU DO DONT TAKE ADVICE OFF ME! ! Quote
