Hamilton sets fastest time but breaks the rules - starts at back

Shcumaker sets fastest time but breaks the rules - moves back 5 places.

Interesting that deliberately driving into another car gets you a 10 place drop, but being a couple of litres light on fuel drops you to the back, too...

Still, a good quail, happy to see yet more new names up there this season!

Two different sets of regulations.

Do the infringement of the rules carry preset penalties?

Yes they do.

Failure to provide a fuel sample has always carried a back of the grid penalty.

it's deemed to be cheating.

Somebody better tell the BBC then, the commentators were saying that it could have been a 5 place penalty.
