Simon Hoskins Posted September 26, 2002 Posted September 26, 2002 I'm planning my up grade from CVH to 2.0l Zetec this winter. If anyone in W.Yorkshire with a Zetec powered Westfield that wouldn't mind sharing their knowledge and experience this Sunday 29th Sept, I'd like to meet up to take a look. Simon Quote
Westfieldman Posted September 26, 2002 Posted September 26, 2002 Cleethorpes any good South East of you but near the seaside so you can make sand castles etc. Paul. 1800 165bhp Zetec 571kg plus the cage [?kg's] Quote
Nick Algar - Competition Secretary Posted September 26, 2002 Posted September 26, 2002 Paul, So you going to go on a diet this winter and get it down to 550 Kg? Nick Quote
Westfieldman Posted September 26, 2002 Posted September 26, 2002 Nick I have had the grinder to it since I last weighed it but also fitted the front half of the cage to the Rac bar So me and the car are going to loose some more weight Super light weight flywheel and clutch. Cut off all the Ford cast lugs for the air con power steering etc. Very small alternator Poly suspension bushes to replace the standard bushes Its about £100 per Kg after the real easy bits. Then its very expensive and time for a Radical SR3 [lotto funding permitting] Paul. Nick was you saying Iam fat as in FAT PAUL like Fat Arnie? Quote
Nick Algar - Competition Secretary Posted September 26, 2002 Posted September 26, 2002 Paul, Compared to me your as thin as a lathe. But I knew I'd get you going on the car weight bit Look forward to the weigh in, in the new year! Nick Quote

studbuckle Posted September 27, 2002 Posted September 27, 2002 Andy, If you hadn't 'chickened out' for day 2 of coast2coast you could have seen how he gets it that light Quote
Bananaman Posted September 27, 2002 Posted September 27, 2002 Simon, Unfortunatley Hazel chickened out not me, honest. Andy Maybe i will come over to a Yorkshire meet one of these days and take a look, are you doing any at the weekend now the night are drawing in? Quote
Nick Algar - Competition Secretary Posted September 27, 2002 Posted September 27, 2002 I feel a new thread coming on here, How to lose weight, whoose got the lightest? I am sure to get jumped on but at 420Kg, I,m a happy bunny Nick PS - OK, I cheated and stuck one of those bike things in. Quote
damianc Posted September 27, 2002 Posted September 27, 2002 Quick win in losing weight: take the spare wheel off, go to 13" rims. take the 'screen off, fit an aeroscreen that should lose about 50kg or so and it will feel like you've just had a big power hike! rs2000 bellhousing will lose you about 8kg make a plate alloy alternator mounting carpets out etc ... We'll still not keep up with the BEC boys but go for more power & more torque Quote
