Chris Elworthy Posted September 13, 2002 Posted September 13, 2002 Thanks to the HB&B gang for welcoming us from Northants last night. Good turn out, and plenty of tyres to kick. I have also received a message from Graham, the wandering c******m bod who tagged along with us when he saw us in Towcester. He was on his way home from a Lotus day at Curborough and thoroughly enjoyed his Bonus Blat. See you at Donny Quote
shaun Posted September 13, 2002 Posted September 13, 2002 Had a long drive home last night from the meet. Stopped in High Wycombe for a petrol. This chap sounding all knowledgeable asked me 'Is that car a Westfield or c******m?'. I said 'a Westfield'. 'Ah but what is the difference' 'The Westfield is better' I said. 'What engine?' '1800 Zetec' I said 'Oh I know - like in the Ford Mondeo' 'Yes that's right' I said 'So if it has a Mondeo engine, it must be front wheel drive?' Good turn out, and plenty of tyres to kick. Will be able to kick some more tyres this weekend at Donington. What a sad existence I live. Quote
windy Posted September 13, 2002 Posted September 13, 2002 Good to see you all enjoyed the run out from Northants. I think there must have been 20 cars there last night - so many I didn't think to stop and have a proper count. Herts, Beds & Bucks will be at Brighton tomorrow for the speed trials (a couple of people competing) and then hopefully Donnington Sunday. Regards Windy Quote
DavidBirchZEI220 Posted September 13, 2002 Posted September 13, 2002 Windy Do HBB fancy a convoy up to Donnington on Sunday? I'll be travelling from J9 M1 David Quote
windy Posted September 13, 2002 Posted September 13, 2002 Don't know what time I'll be up for the run to Donington on Sunday (Brighton ST Saturday) and will probably be late back from that. I better say I'll see you there! Don't think there's many HBB members going up to Donington, those that are will probably join the remaining Northants people. Best to speak to Chris Elworthy. Regards Windy Quote
DavidBirchZEI220 Posted September 15, 2002 Posted September 15, 2002 Likewise SDB did very well to get to last 6 and a final 10 second pass. David Quote
