tommy holly Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Hi I noticed the other day when i pulled away on a steep hill that one of the followers on my 2.0 Silvertop went noisy which after a couple of mins quietened down,it also seems to happen if i give the car a lot of stick,it is fitted with a dunnell sump the oil level is right but does anybody know the amount of oil it should hold in case the dip stick is wrong, also under hard cornering there is a little bit of smoke out of the exhaust Cheers Tommy Quote
AdamR Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Also keen to hear about this... Apparently, for a Dunnell shallow sump, the notch in the dipstick (if it's standard) is for when the car has just been shut off. I made a new notch in mine about 15mm higher, which I use when the oil has settled and is cold. Quote
