Norman Verona Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Matt, he's not in today. If it's OK I'll ring him tomorrow rather than speak to one of his monkeys minions. I'll PM you about spec etc. Quote
matt nossiter Posted December 17, 2012 Author Posted December 17, 2012 No problem Norman , thanks Quote
Norman Verona Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Matt, just spoken to him. I'll pm you his contact details. He's recommending another 3 seater which he reckons is much better value than the VW. Talk to him. He understands the position and will do you a deal. Quote
matt nossiter Posted December 18, 2012 Author Posted December 18, 2012 Thankyou Norman , I will let you know how I get on . Matt Quote
simon besant Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 I have the latest shape vito my last vito I had for Severn years and 100000 miles only tiny bit of rust from a stone chip which was an easy repair My new one is now just two years old and looks like new still fantastic van drives like a car and is quiet V6 engine is super quiet and tows as if nothing is behind it ( mine is chipped and produces 270hp ) The bottom line is all manufacturers have certain things you can pick faults in the early Vitos were really bad for rust and the transporters destroy dual mass flywheels and particle filters You have to drive the vans and see which YOU like best You see a lot of transporters vitos and vivaros around Personally I don't like front wheel drive my first vito was front drive and with the trailor on and all the tools in the back I got stuck a few times in junctions on hills where it just spun the wheels Quote
matt nossiter Posted January 26, 2013 Author Posted January 26, 2013 Thank you for all your help Norm , got a very good deal on a new van which is being delivered Wednesday . Matt Quote
matt nossiter Posted January 26, 2013 Author Posted January 26, 2013 Vauxhall vivaro sportive , cracking value for money , cost not a lot more than my old transit connect did 9 years ago ... Its big enough to tow the Westfield plus I can kip in the back if need be on all these far flung track days ! Quote
SteveH Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Sounds good, make sure you are rid of it when the warranty runs out Quote
