still behind the dash we didn't want to clutter it with things like switches besides most of them didn't work anyhow

De-value it? A carbon dash would literally treble it's value! Just filling the petrol tank would double it.

I just followed Del's car out and then the Gate Gestapo proclaimed that we shouldn't be leaving yet and promptly shut the doors again even though the hall was alread half empty of cars by that point
