Yeah pheasants have to take a prize for combining the knack of being not just the most stupid of birds, but the most suicidal.

You can do your d*mndest to avoid them, but when one of the determined little b*ggers has decided its numbers up, they'll keep trying till they've splatter themselves.

Our office used to be near Tatton Park, on the Tatton Estates and there's loads of pheasant breeding grounds round there. You'd be driving along, slowish, as you knew the bleeders were about, naturally one would run out in front of you, you'd steer one way to miss it, it'd run that way back in front, you'd go the other, it'd turn and head that way.

Think my record was four times trying to miss one - steered round it three times, got round the side of it, when the dumb bird turned back round again, ran straight into the side of the car, and under a back wheel.

On the Scottish run today, Kev managed to kill a Pheasant, fortunately he was wearing a helmet

Craig

Who was wearing the helmet? Kev or the pheasant?

Yes was an interested day on sunday, glad I had changed to my helmet not long before we set off. I had to stop just after I hit it as it slightly daised me, was doing about 40-45 down the road when it happened. Only long term damage to me is it broke the tilt on my visor, no great lose :)

Don't worry Bob I'll try and get the big stag that was going round the campsite for the BBQ.

Frag, I got my brave pills back after Balloch and there was less rain :)

Cheers

Kev

He's only plucking pheasants 'till the pheasant plucker comes.
