Which oil is best for my 1.6 OHC with twin webbers? ford engine

Posted

Can't say for certain on the ideal choice for a 1.6, but a lot of people running 2.0 pinto's and cvh engines have recommended Valvoline VR1 oil which is a 20/50 grade. Thick enough for the tolerances of the older Ford family of engines and able to deal with higher temps usually encountered on track days.

I think others have also used Millers oil, which is also popular with those running classic cars. Your local motor factor will likely have the Valvoline in stock.
