s2rrr Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 One wheel nut off each wheel and off you go, but slowly. Bob  Quote

Cleggy the Spyder Man Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 I have always been paranoid about wheel nuts - surely it must have given you some clues that the wheel was about to fall off? Quote
John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 How do you know it was a tyre fitter and not the driver himself? Quote
Cleggy the Spyder Man Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 by reading the Youtube comments I presume Quote
Mark Stanton Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 What would be embarassing was if both your rear wheels came off in front of a crowd of people with cameras whilst competing at a sprint 1 Quote
ajpearson Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 mmmm, sadly that seems to happen far too often after a tyre change. But they you are always advised to check the torque after 100miles or so Quote
MGF255 Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Looks like a pretty bad road for it to happen . I was once mocked at a circuit for checking all 16 wheel nuts after the first session but better safe than sorry I say . Wonder how much was ground off the under side of the ball joint / wish bone !!! Quote
Terry Everall Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 I always check my nuts are in place before I give it the gas on the start line particularly on circuits that required big b............s Quote
peterg Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 What would be embarassing was if both your rear wheels came off in front of a crowd of people with cameras whilst competing at a sprint PMSL - anyone got the pics? Quote
