Cleggy the Spyder Man
I have always been paranoid about wheel nuts - surely it must have given you some clues that the wheel was about to fall off?

Mark Stanton
What would be embarassing was if both your rear wheels came off in front of a crowd of people with cameras whilst competing at a sprint
ajpearson
mmmm, sadly that seems to happen far too often after a tyre change. But they you are always advised to check the torque after 100miles or so

I was once mocked at a circuit for checking all 16 wheel nuts after the first session but better safe than sorry I say . Wonder how much was ground off the under side of the ball joint / wish bone !!!
