Hello chaps,

I'm going to be heading to Anglesey on Sat 14th April, hoping it will be dry enough for the Westy!

Is anyone else from here going to be in attendance? The day is run by Apex (8pots on here), and is currently at just over £150 with discount code APEX1210.

Hopefully see you there?

Cheers,

Adam

Weather forecast is looking good, loading the Westy onto trailer at the moment. Anyone else up for a last minute booking?

I'm sure there will be plenty of other opportunities Steve!

Good stuff, look forward to seeing it,hope the final bits go well :)

No problem, I hope it will be of use!

Well you all missed a cracking day, sunny nearly all day, only a couple of very short-lived red flags, good organisation as always and plenty of courteous driving :) will try and chuck some bits of video together in the next few days.

As promised, here it is!

Very clear day in terms of traffic, flags and weather :)

Also a quick recommendation for Cefn Dref B&B: http://www.angleseyc...n/10-cefn-dref We stayed there on the Friday night, £85 for a big double room including a great breakfast, plenty of parking space for trailer etc, and you can see the peninsula on which the track is built from the breakfast room. 10 mins drive in the morning, and we were in the paddock

Skip to 6:50 if you want to see me 'doing it wrong'! The first bit is a clean lap, the rest is chasing a slick-shod yellow MK (I think) with some sort of bike engine.

Edit: For search results: Hotel, Anglesey, B&B, recommended, car parking, trailer.

My favourite track. There's a track day there run by Book a track on Friday Aug 31st I think - the day before the Speed Series sprint weekend there

That's brilliant Adam. Crackin' vid. What camera / editing package are you using?

Have an opportunity to go to Anglesey soon but it's a 1000 mile round trip from Southampton! Think you've made my mind up, looks fantastic and the B&B option is a good shout!

Cheers,

Steve

Cheers guys! Slightly bum squeaky at the end, but all good...

Steve - it's a GoPro HD, with the open back and a bit of fur stuck to it. Sound still isn't very good though as you can hear, tempted to buy a separate device for sound recording. Editing was with a, err, fully legal copy of Premiere Pro CS5.

That does sound like a huge trek, however I am sure you could make it worthwhile for a weekend, lots of other bits and bobs to do in Wales with the family etc :)

Looks like you had a good day and posting that vid has really made me want to try an Anglesey trackday :t-up:

Yeah, it was a cracking day! You can't be more than an hour away, be rude not to go :)
