kevip6 Posted April 4, 2012 Author Posted April 4, 2012 if you can get the same colour match from westfield you should be able to do a good repair. i have a pair of carbon effect arches you can test to see if it will cover the damage. Excellent, that would be great Pete thanks! No idea how to go about fixing the arch but that's a job for another day! Quote

Lordbenny Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 yup - and a lot of people use plastic bolts/nuts to secure them too so less damage to the tub if you decide to rip one off Can someone put up a link to the bolts and nuts used or are they just the same as the ones you would use for number plates? SootySport Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Oh dear , poor car. I know I have only a 2" gap either side of the rear of the car, when on the trailer. Is your SEIW wider than mine? or just a misalignment when you went up the ramps? Brands has obviously hit the spot for you, hope you and your dad learned something about driving rear wheel drive cars on a track, it's different eh! Lifting off in corners See you this evening. Big respect to your dad if it is. Yes it's paddock hill just after the corner. He went in really early and too fast. Then when it tightened he tried lifting off and the back end came out. Not being experienced in this type of car he didn't catch it and we were both passengers after that! Quote

kevip6 Posted April 17, 2012 Author Posted April 17, 2012 Just been looking at this topic: http://forum.wscc.co.uk/forum/index.php?/topic/94089-tyre-pressures/ And realised my rear tyres from this track day were the original Westfield tyres from 2005/6 with no use from 2007 until last year. This might have contributed to my lack of rear grip, also the fact these tyres were inflated to 30 PSI..... Live and learn eh! Quote

kevip6 Posted April 17, 2012 Author Posted April 17, 2012 Yeah, I was a bit flustered by the mornings events and didn't even think about it to be honest! Still should make the swap back to my Toyos running at 20 PSI a bit more reassuring Quote
