What would be the difference between the stage times for the Group B cars and the WRC cars of today?

I have this down to be recorded, looking forward to it - remember them running Group B but was too young to appreciate the metalness of hte machines at the time.

Lancia Delt S4 for me every time - Which I believe was the worst of the death traps as the drivers sat on fuel swabs!

Very good programe although the narrator was the most boring person to do such a programe. What killed them was the speed but also the inability of the organisers in countries like Portugal, to control the crowds. Watching the programe how anyone could drive a 10 tenths with disaster all around is beyond me.

We lost the technical improvments this gave us.

They would now be considerably slower due to the wizardry on modern WRC cars. A tour around M Sport in Cumbria recently brought that home abundantly. Great great cars though, and you can still see the Metro 6R4 regularily out on the stages today.

that bloke as a spectator claiming the compensation who said if a car crashed into a house it would not be the houses fault, what a muppet! Think he hadnt quite realised houses dont move! mind you he was the size of a house When I was at the Manx International back in the 90s, GrpA Cosworths were already quicker than the GrpB machines
