Terry Everall Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 Can you set outlook express as your default email when using Windows7 I dont like the Livemail system as much as Outlook express which I have on my other computer using XP Quote
Andy Banks Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 Outlook Express is not part of Windows Vista or Windows 7. IIRC you can't download/install OE and make it work either. You have to use Windows Livemail or another third party email programe. Quote
Captain Colonial Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 Thunderbird is your friend...free email program and much like Outlook Express, give it a try, you can always uninstall it if you hate it. Quote
pistonbroke Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 I thought Livemail was supposed to plug the security gaps in OE ? Quote
Hammy Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 You can use Outlook, which is similar to use . Part of office. Quote
DerekJ Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 Another vote for Thunderbird, I've been useing it for a couple of years and it's great. If you still have your old PC, install TB on it and it will import all of your settings and mails. You can then make an export to copy onto your new PC and import it so you don't loose anything.....Simples (almost) Quote
