Well after too long a running in period I finally got aound to having my mapping set up at Ric Woods in Stockport, he said I would notice the difference as there was a 20-30 hp increase from what it was earlier. He wasn't kidding, bl**dy h*ll its gone from quick to very quick and its on a 3.9 diff. Went out for a short run, got lost around Lymm in Cheshire ended up going North on the M6 and found my way home eventually. Ok I left my sat nav at home in my desire to go out and play which overcam all sense of reason. Sun shining must go out and blinkers well on.

I guess I have a bigger more stupid than normal grin on my chops right now as I blew away a full tanks worth of fuel and apart from a slight worry about fuelling up enjoyed every second. Pity I'm away for a bit of a family do, could have had a daft grin on all weekend. Couple of minor niggles but hopefully nothing that can't be sorted fairly easily.

Bob (aka big daft kid for today anyway)

Always a good feeling when something comes back better than expected. Pity you can't use this weekend, weather looks excellent, probably our summer so make the most of it while its here.

How can you get lost at Lymm? (Speaking as a Lymm resident!)

Hi all,

The big stupid grin continued yesterday when I returned home after wasting valuable play time at the family do and had a blast out to Alderley Edge very enjoyable, but quite license threatening, I guess once I get it fully sorted I am going to have to get it on a few trackdays, its only going to be a matter of time until I get a few points. Quite easy to get out of shape but that's now part of my driver training, haven't driven a rwd car since 1977. Good fun though not very responsible :p :p

Kirkyboy4. Engines running fine, but had a bit of 3 cylinders lumpiness on start up for a couple of minutes which was disapointing (not there today when I had a quick test start, maybe a dirty plug). Red line far too quick to be reached woops, must get lighter shoes on. No stuttering on full throttle just plenty of beans.

Dave, Good to get some more out of it, not too keen on bhp numbers as they are just that a number and tend to lead to bar-room debates on yeh but I've got X bhp etc etc, but really pleased with the go factor more than the print out, but it helps. Still very driveable and loads of flexibility for cruising, yeh. All three engines are within 15-20bhp on two different dynos. I might be bending your ear about dry sumping it maybe next winters updrade.

Steve, can always count on you, and yep probably quite correct, more stupid looking than normal. :d :d

S2T How did I get lost in Lymm, I have to say it wasn't hard I wanted to find the M56 return loop to Altrincham and ended up all wrong. No problem really just a bit low on fuel at the time and my Dash was losing some of its digits briefly. Not repeated on Sunday thankfully. Probably was concentrating on everything else more than where I was going. Fuel doesn't last long in a 5 gallon tank which wasn't filled when I went out at playtime. Lesson to be learned, I guess.

Roll on some more summer days or evening.
