lippydave
Now this really is infantile, calm down dear... So you post something blatantly racist then call someone who disagees with you infantile...? Maybe, but at least I'm not a narrow minded ignorant f*cking nunney! Captain Colonial
OK gents, F1 practice is over and the race is about to begin. Let's bring this thread to a close and enjoy an unpredictable wet race!
Speed Freak
I lived/studied/worked for a year in Mainz, have to say I really like the country. The people I met over there were the same mix of decent people, kn*bs, dickheads etc. that you meet everywhere you go. (so I felt right at home ) Twenty odd years later, it's one of the few places I've lived that I still miss. well you managed to live in one of the nicest places on the west side of germany! id love to live in mainz. drive about an hour north and youre in my area-- absolutely nothing but countryside. as for the people... not sure I should comment as my misses is german! although she too would say that the english are far more polite and gentlemanly than the germans. dont get me wrong, I have german friends, but the humor and the "mateyness" of the english cant be matched over here! I dont live in a great area of germany, so maybe if I lived in mainz, hamburg or münchen my opinion of germany would change, but Id give my right arm to be back in the uk... just need a job that pays as well!! Matt Seabrook
Is anybody else having trouble with the live timing thing on F1.com?
Rob Navin
Nice to see you can run a modern f1 car from under an easy up. They will be turning up with old transits and open trailers next. What a great clubman sport
Matt Seabrook
Looks like it falling apart for the Brits.

Fangi0
Me too. Good to see Alonso with a smile on his face almost as wide as the ones I have had about recent emails. Raikonnen is doing a great job in that car as it seems to handle like a pig. Felt sorry for the main contenders today but their day will come and it's good to get the odd cranky race. Dibby
Good race, exciting finish, even though I'm not keen on Teflonso. Go Perez go you little beauty, would have been nice to see him ignore the team warning and go for Alonso, he'll have Massa's job next year. Shame to see Benson knock his wing off and Vettel get that puncture. Maldonado must be the unluckiest man in F1. Exciting season seeing some new names up the front. Maybe I will get Sky after all. Got myself 24 hour of all Sky channels on the weekend, litterally thousands of channels to choose from, all the sports, HD, European stuff too and after a solid hour of flicking there was absolutely nothing on, wouldn't mind Eden or Discovery but it was all repeats, where are all these fantastic programs they advertise? It came down to billiards on Eurosport or Antiques Roadshow on BBC which we get for free anyway. Unless you like football or repeats of American crime drama series, there's nothing worth paying for Not a good advert for Sky, won't be buying a full package
Fangi0
'Benson' - I like that! Thanks for the warning on Sky packages.
Dibby
It's like having a really nice pint (BBC and the Freeview channels) and adding loads of water to it with the amount of repeats of American bumph and filler. The F1 alone isn't worth the £30 a month minmum package Murdoch wants to pump us for considering how many races are live on Sky. I'm sticking with questionable methods of obtaining my Sky for 24 when the F1 is not on the Beeb. Not that keen on the Sky treatment of the F1 with the lazy music researcher's cliche of Rob D, Clubbed to Death playing on the warm-up lap and talking faces in the corner, the fake touch-screen, zhoozhy music and glitzy graphics, the 3 stooges talking over each other and Damson Hill pulling his serious face into the camera when he wasn't talking. davidgh
Had full Sky -- until the day before yesterday!! Finally realised that the value I was getting for almost £800 per year was negligible. God, we OFs are slow
