Webby123 Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 Hi, I have a se with 2.0 pinto with five speed box. The speedo cable comes into the cabin by the front of drives seat and then connects to the speedo. I have notice after a period of time a small amount of gearbox oil settles on the floor. After inspecting the cable i found alight nick in it where the oil is leaking from. I assume that the seal on the speedo drive is leaking allowing the oil to sit in the cable and escape out of the cable. I wanted to know if anyone can suggest another option where i can remove the cable altogether ie a diital dash or something? where can you get them? at what cost? and how do they work in terms of getting a speedo reading?? Thanks. Quote
