Black Top Zetec Recommended Oil?

Hi All,

Sorry for the basic question but I built the car in 2006 and it was off the road for the next 5 years and so I'm only just doing it's first oil change since getting it back on the road.

Looking online it seems I should be using a 5w/30 or 40 for the Black top Zetec engine (I could only find 10w/40 in the garage I built it in so that's also the reason for a double check ) are there any brands that are better than others for road and track use? Or is oil just oil?

Also... while I'm here, whats the general view on oil changes and trackdays? How often should I change it?
