shaun Posted April 5, 2002 Posted April 5, 2002 Next meeting for Thames Valley Area is 14 April, midday onwards at: Devil Inn, Knowl Hill, Bath Road, A4 (between Maidenhead and Reading). Hope you can make it Quote
Blatman Posted April 6, 2002 Posted April 6, 2002 I've got an ugly feeling that I'll be at a christening in the Westfield Quote
Korky Posted April 6, 2002 Posted April 6, 2002 I've rebuilt the large cast iron lump under the bonnet and made it lighter by boring it out a couple of mm. It was doing an impression of a milk shake machine at first but now its sorted so I should be there Regards Korky Quote
SEiGHT Posted April 7, 2002 Posted April 7, 2002 Should be able to persuade her indoors to go out for a nice drive and a pub lunch in the country... "Oh look dear that pub has a Westfield in the car park...let's just pop in for 5 mins..." Quote
mmmmdonuts Posted April 8, 2002 Posted April 8, 2002 can't make this one as I will be out of the country. Have fun... See you in May! Quote
garyo Posted April 8, 2002 Posted April 8, 2002 I'll be there if I can get my engine back together by saturday... turns out my uneven running was a crack in the inlet manifold... need to find a while-u-wait ally welder in Reading Gary Quote
fordy Posted April 9, 2002 Posted April 9, 2002 Hope to be there - i missed the first one. Will the pub show the Grand Prix cheers Chris Quote
gee_fin Posted April 9, 2002 Posted April 9, 2002 I do believe I will make this one now I know where the pub is, and screw cycling, I'll bring the carbon thing. I'll have to leave sharpish at 3 to drop the car off at the docks in Portsmouth though Graeme. Quote
Steve G Posted April 9, 2002 Posted April 9, 2002 Missed the first one, but hope to get there this time Just hope the sun shines! Steve G. Quote
Kevin Wood Posted April 10, 2002 Posted April 10, 2002 MOT test on the Saturday so hopefully I'll be there.. Fingers crossed.... Kevin Quote
gee_fin Posted April 15, 2002 Posted April 15, 2002 The footage from the day will be transffered to our site in the next day or so. Closed-road testing of Mr Lambert's V8 saw 4.2s to 60mph on only his second attempt, along with 200ft worth of ACB10s left melting on road. It's an automatic goodness me! Videos to be posted asap. For those interested in 'that' video, just message me for the direct link. Graeme. Quote
peterg Posted April 15, 2002 Posted April 15, 2002 surprised he got that much wheelspin - he's not exactly sylph like is he? Quote
shaun Posted April 15, 2002 Author Posted April 15, 2002 Can't wait to see the video!!!! Did you record the 0-60 of the Nissan Micra? And how the #### did that Merc wander onto the test track. Looked like he was out for a Sunday afternoons drive. It was just as well you directed him clearly out of harms way. Quote
