higgsti Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 (edited) Why can you not clean rim and have a weld dropped over the hole or inner tube should be cheap enough for a yorkshireman Edited February 17, 2012 by higgsti Quote
a4gom Posted February 18, 2012 Author Posted February 18, 2012 Always an option but a rim will be cheaper than a tube and you can stick your finger through the hole so more than a drop of weld! Quote
s2rrr Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Giving the rest of the rim a good clout with a chipping hammer should detect any more likely holes. Weld over a patch on the inside and then put a tube in provided its a tubeless tube that is, I don't think you can get smooth ones now but may be wrong. Smooth off any pigeon S*** weld splatter to protect the tube. May work may not but could be a good spare, you do have a spare ? Bob Quote
a4gom Posted February 19, 2012 Author Posted February 19, 2012 We have a spare, it's on at the moment so we are not stuck, rest of wheel looks fine so the weld is always an option but as I said previously a £5 rim will still be the cheaper option as tubes are over that. Won 4 corsa wheels on ebay for 99p, I doubt they will fit as I think they are more likely to be in the 40 offset region but at 99p with tyres and trims they have to be worth a look. Quote
