Diy Car Repairs

All right, we all know Steve and Fraser are brilliant at what they do on cars, but sometimes times are tight and you have to do it yourself when it comes to car repairs. Let these next 34 photos be an inspiration when needs must - which one is your favourite?

Love my new wide tyres and rims, but they didn't fit too well:

DIY06.jpg

OK, parking's an issue, but it's easy to check the brakes on the corner!

DIY07.jpg

It's not a drive wheel anyway, so what's the problem?

DIY08.jpg

OK, so I crashed it once, odds are I won't need it a second time!

And all his friends wondered why their number plates had disappeared one night:

We are an ingenious and resourceful animal, are we not! My fave is the glass bottle headlamp and my most shocking is the German(?) grey 4x4!

I used a coke can once to fix an exhaust, it outlasted the rest of the car :d

My favourite is the generator on the boot and aircon taped to a window.

Some out and out classics there Captain.

:suspect:

The thing that does amuse me though, is how what looks normal(ish) to us on here, gets just the same reaction as some of those do, from ordinary, non-petrolhead types.

Last week, one lunch break, one of our lads was looking over my shoulder while I surfed the Boardroom; he's seen Westfield's, )in fact, he's still shaking from a quick blat in mine!) but he p****d himself laughing at the picture of one of the Fireblade engined cars with random, huge square, black, airbox bits sticking out through the lovely sleek bonnet. :o

Good stuff. Very funny.

My favourite has to be the taps for the heater controls.

A girl in the office use to have more cable ties than that on here car.

One of the aircon engineers repleced them with stainless steel ties and they were still holding on the exhaust when she sold it.

As a young lad I had a Landrover 90 that had a deck chair in the back incase I needed to carry an extra passenger. Not sure the then girl friends parents were too impressed when we picked them up from Heathrow airport ;):d
