BillyWhizzz2002 Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Hi all, I have the westfield/pace dry sump setup on my Megabird. The three hoses that come from the sump pan to the pump are slightly bigger bore and are fastened with jubilee clips (i presume these are the suction side?) pipes to and from oil cooler and block are slightly smaller and all have high pressure fittings high pressure side?) two questions, 1; Do these hoses have to be of different size and what should they be? 2; I want to replace the hoses from the sump pan and fasten with ss mikalor clamps to tidy it up, where can i get some hose? Cheers all, hope to see ya at the club meets i spring. Quote

GreigM Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 I don't have the same engine, but imagine the principal is the same. the oil generally flows from sump to pump then out to the cooler. I don't believe there is a requirement for the hoses to be differing sizes, so long as you don't reduce the overall capacity of the system - specifically make sure the hose from oil tank to sump is as large as you can get away with. You don't need high pressure fittings, the push-on hoses are fine. Quote
