Hammy
Later I have mostly been watching re-runs of Wheeler Dealers - there seems to be a lot of parts fitted on the finished cars that are not mentioned , plus few improbables, such as : • mint interior on the salvaged BMW 635 ( refinished?) plus you could see sealant where new tyres had been just fitted on this donor car • mint salvaged MR2 front wing, just re-sprayed ? Captain Colonial
I'm afraid that show is like a laxative - it irritates the s**t out of me. 1) The "profit" they make is a loss every time unless Ed is a slave and works for free, and the workshop and all the tools were nicked 2) The fat jumped-up t**t makes me think that my defence if I shot him would be that it isn't illegal to discharge a firearm into a public nuisance 3) The bit where he "sells" the car is so contrived it hurts 4) It patronises me and my intelligence - unforgivable in my books Off for a beer now...

Rusty Nuts
I think the profits are made from the TV programmes not the cars; I do like watching it because some of them cars are nice. I think there was a thread on one of the other forums stating that even the sellers and buyers are not genuine. Overall nice entertainment. GreigM
to be fair to them, they do say several times that they do a lot of them for the sake of rescuing a car and putting it back on the road....its like top gear - just entertainment with a car theme, I like it... Blatman
Can't stand the show. LIke much "reality" TV, it isn't actually real in any meaningful way. Mike Brewer though, I'm not a fan BUT, to his credit, after giving Caterham's a bit of a going over on the telly, he pitched up at the Caterham camp site at Le Mans. No film crew, no producer, no back up (as far as I could tell) and laid himself open to the banter. Then, after his session with the assembled Caterham owners (and me! ) he got taken for a ride by my old mate Fat Arnie in his 270ish BHP aeroscreened missile. He was quite green around the gills upon his return as I suspect Arnie had shown his what a Se7en could do when built and driven properly. But to his credit he took it on the chin and I have to give him some respect for that.
Marcus Barlow - Show and Events Co-ordinator
Its good to see the difference in the cars from beggining to end, as far as the rest if you want real acting theres always The Garage
fatbaldbloke
As said before, it's TV. Accept that, and I for one like it. I've learnt a few bits and pieces off it, and it's quite good banter.
