Brilliant video - used to love tarmac rallying. Best clip I ever saw was of Ari Vatanan doing the Manx back in the late 70's/early 80's. He was coming up to a narrow cattle grid flat out and got slightly out of shape - kept his foot down and went over sideways, just missing the posts on either side. The navigator (Dave Richards?) stops reading the notes - holds his breath, says 'dear god!' (very polite, I must say) and then they carry on as normal - amazing.

as for the lads in the first vid, have to feel for them though, what is the rules if you do catch up with someone? should the scooby have moved out of the way?
