leemarkadams Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Hello al, as the title really the modding has begun! Started with something simple, the sill protectors: Then decided to give using some DINOC on the rear arches a go: However was not happy with the end result (just could not get it to follow any of the arch lines neatly): So off it came! Anyway, then decided to DINOC the transmission tunnel, and here we are: End result: Will see how it holds up. Lee Quote
deanoecosse Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Great colour choice I originally dinoc'd my rear arches, but after only 1000 miles during the start of last year, they were peppered with stone chips and looked cack with the orange body work showing through the dozens of chips. I then fitted the Westfield carbon effect protectors which I should have done first time. Quote
Lordbenny Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 I am in the same boat as you Lee. I too am a club tango member and bought my car in November. I did in fact look at the car in your garage but decided on my 2 litre Zetec! I am currently 'upgrading' and modding my westy much like yourself, I have my carbon sill protectors ready to go, I've fitted new seats, harnesses, steering wheel, carpets etc in the short time I've had my car. You can't keep me out of my garage! it's fun isnt it.......I'm actually looking forward to driving the bl**** thing! Quote
Johnson Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Team Tango has been formed much to the Surrey AO's annoyance :d Check the roll bar If anyone wants a sticker drop me a PM and I will pop one of my spares in the post only have a couple at the moment so first come first served. Quote
Westie66 Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Me to for the upgrades, not really put any miles on the car yet and the Westfield carbon light units are going on. Quote

SteveC Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Good stuff Lee, they were all on my jobs list for the last year or so, but somehow never got round to them! Good to see you are finding how to take bits off, and get them back on again Steve Quote

Martin Keene Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 Hello... What is Dinoc and where can I get some from? Also, I don't suppose you know where the gear lever gaiter came from and how is it fixed to the underside of the aluminium? ETA: Ignore me, Google is my friend and the credit is going to be abused!
