Simple water connections are all thats required apparently. If thats the case, where does all the crap end up? Do you have to empty it occassionally? Just curious as I'm not interested in buying one. I've looked on their website and the info on how they work seems vague Quote
zvezdochka Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Saniflow has a motor driven macerator to smash the crud and then pumps the slurry. advantage is you can use a 2 inch pipe instead of 4 inch for waste. Quote

Maceration is no longer allowed in the water industry, don't know how long private customers will be able to get away with it Quote

peterg Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Seems fairly clear on their website http://www.saniflo.co.uk/homeowners/sfa-product-line/saniflo-product-description/ The Saniflo macerator pump unit fits unobtrusively behind the WC.You may choose any make or colour of WC suite (BS EN 33 or 37 Horizontal Outlet) you want to suit your decorative scheme. When the WC is flushed the unit automatically activates to pump waste horizontally to a remote soil pipe up to 50 metres away. Saniflo will also discharge vertically up to 4 metres maximum, or a lesser combination of vertical and horizontal pipe run. Quote
