Guest Posted January 9, 2002 Posted January 9, 2002 Ok - so I have only just sent off my entry form for the Speed Series (my first ever) - and I am waiting for my MSA license to come through (my first ever) - but that has not stopped me making enquiries about ferry crossings, hotels and camp sites on the Isle of Man!! I contacted "Magic Holidays" and talked to their Chairman - who also happens to be the CEO of the Manx Motor Club (who are organising this event). He is putting a package together - with some preferential rates via his interest in "Magic Holidays". Does anyone want to join in when I get the details later this week?? Quote
ACW Posted January 9, 2002 Posted January 9, 2002 Edden, I know loads of the SS guys are look forward to doing this one so perhaps you can post the info when you have it ? I fyou can find out if there is any way off the island on friday night so I can get to Olivers Mount... at the weekend that would be cool. Quote

Guest Posted January 15, 2002 Posted January 15, 2002 booked the ferry got accepted what are you a**ing about at Acknowledgments and thanks to Steve D for his constructive and most help comments. I have now received the information - and it is along the lines of a combined ferry crossing from Liverpool or Heysham with Hotel / Guest house accomodation. Prices vary from £86 inclusive up to £145 for two night inclusive. There is a £109.00 charge for a trailer (up to 6 metres) on the ferry. I am taking the small angry woman that I married some time ago with me on this trip - and she don't do tents!! Hence the need to swan about in a hotel for a couple of days. Let me know if you want the details - I can fax them to you. I will deliver Steve D's in person - probably where the sun don't shine. Quote
John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted January 18, 2002 Posted January 18, 2002 Do you know Steve D? Hes a big bloke that you wouldn't mess with.... Quote
windy Posted January 19, 2002 Posted January 19, 2002 Hey there's a parallel thread that I've answered with some prices! It seems Magic Holidays and Travel Services are as competitive as eachother. The expensive bit is the trailer supplement. Someone suggested leaving the trailer at the docks on the way out to save some money but another person suggested if I left it at Liverpool I'd never see it again cos it would get stolen! I'll be taking the trailer and taking up travel services package of accomodation and ferry combined. Its not cheap though - Ouch! Regards Windy Quote
SteveD Posted January 20, 2002 Posted January 20, 2002 listen here edden i will see you and your small angry woman at the next meeting Quote
