Captain Colonial Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 Any other Firefox users out there who have a spell checker extension that works everywhere else bar in here? I'm on Firefox 9.0.1 with the Britsh English Dictionary 1.19.1 extension, which works on every site I post in, yet in here it doesn't work at all, misspelled words are not underlined. I've tried several spell check extensions, all the same thing. Any ideas? Most odd and localised!
CedricTheBrave Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 you would have though that being a member that would work for you 1
Captain Colonial Posted January 19, 2012 Author Posted January 19, 2012 Yes, but I can't get a good grip on the huge ones that have a stain-proof cover so the blood doesn't stick to it when you're beating a smart to death with it.

Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 Yep, Firefox 9.0.1 with the Britsh English Dictionary 1.19.1 works fine for me. You've not got "check spelling" turned off in the right click menu have you?
Captain Colonial Posted January 19, 2012 Author Posted January 19, 2012 Weird - nope, Check Spelling is ticked in my menu, but it's not working. Must be something localised I'll have to live with. Thanks for checking!
Captain Colonial Posted January 19, 2012 Author Posted January 19, 2012 Cracked it - Check Spelling was ticked, but in Languages just below that, English / United Kingdom was there as the only choice but with no dot next to it - once I selected it, spell checker is working again. Funny thing was, it was working on the thread title box if you were starting a new thread!
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 Ah well, time to abuse a few icons while I'm on the PC
stephenh Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 That's odd, you need it really when correcting the Rabbit. ;) 1

Tom Frankland (T3OMF) Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 Sorry to sound thick but how do you do it....... With in Firefox, I went to Tools - Options - Content - Languages - Choose In there is "English (en)" and "English/United Kingdom (en/gb)" Is that right or am I checking the wrong place with Firefox??
