go to http://www.lotus7news.co.uk/205.html and look at the very bottom of the page.

Shouldn't the Lambda be in the downpipe?

The lambda wants to be infront of the cat, on the outlet of the last colector, that way it sees all the gasses from each cylinder before they get mutilated by the cat.

What Timmeh is trying to do is use the OE Honda S2000 ECU because of German TUV regs it will need the A/F post cat.

I think he might be getting confused with Oxygen sensors and A/F sensors. Basically the A/F sensor just measures the gases after the cat and compares them in the ECU to see if the cat is working.

You can bypass the A/F sensor with some electronics I had a friend who used to do it for later Subarus when they were decatted. Not sure what the options are for Honda stuff. I know in the Subarus the fault code that was posted when it detected the missing A/F sensor can now be turned off when you reflash the stock ECU.

Most OE installations have the A/F sensor fairly close to the cat not sure how it would work in the tailpipe?
