Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman
Thanks Tex, that's handy. Just uming and ahing which way to go with doors at the moment - using the car all year round, I need something that works a little better! I'd been considering incorporating some of the ideas from the ST3 doors along with some others, but that gives me some ideas to look into!
tex
The doors i made did work fantastic all year. I bought slightly tinted lexan too which is cool as. The hinges where they bolt into the lexan, to spread the load i made a thin strip of ally which went all the way from top to bottom connecting both hinges as well, this also was used to hold 1mm rubber sheet cut with scissors to close and seal the hinge area gaps... The lower door i later made an opening scoop to draw in cold air when roof was up, could shut it down easy enuff. Doors were pulled shut with bungee loops on a hook.
