SteveC Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 hopefully that's what the FBHVC tests will give some clues on, but not sure when they will be released. Will post up when there is anything published. Quote
PeterW Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Only report I've seen is by QuinetiQ for DoT in Oct 2010. Title: Assessing compatibility of fuel systems with bio-ethanol and the risk of carburettor icing. Final report. I think it's in the open literature so Google search should find it. Quote
SteveC Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 http://fbhvc.co.uk/category/news/ for latest update. Not sure who is doing the test but a bit of an embarrassing start! interesting debate going on about MOT's for older cars as well, there is survey there about car enthusiasts views on pre 60's cars and MOT's, worth adding your t'pence worth as many of us have a general interest in older cars, even if you don't own one. smorse Posted January 1, 2012 Author Posted January 1, 2012 i can see a lot of MOT failures coming soon due to perished hoses especially when they up it to 10% ethanol soon Quote
