Westie66 Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Hi all Collected my Mazda SDV kit from Westfield 10/12/2010 and the tax disc arrived 1/12/2011. I have enjoyed the build process so much that I am already looking out for the next project. A few pics of what I built, more on my diary. Thanks to those that helped me out at the trickier moments, if you can find me at Stoneleigh 2012 I am buying Quote
Mark (smokey mow) Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Well done Mark and I'm glad to see the DVLA realised their error and the registrations now sorted. I'm liking that sticker on the back http://markswesty.weebly.com/uploads/5/7/0/8/5708036/4612078_orig.jpg Quote
leeswesty Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Looks nice mate you can do mine if you are looking for some thing to do lol Quote
Mooch Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Looks brilliant. A credit too you - well done. Looking forward to Stoneleigh, too. I think I owe a beer or two to fellow helpers as well. Quote
Westie66 Posted December 4, 2011 Author Posted December 4, 2011 Hi Smokey DVLA was the worst part of the process. Whenever I came to a problem on the build I knew there was a solution to be found, with DVLA I was worried there might not be. I did lodge two official complaints to get it sorted. I think I got the inspector in trouble, but he deserved it, seriously short on training. Quote
Westie66 Posted December 4, 2011 Author Posted December 4, 2011 Pleased my "Built Not Bought" is going down well. This is my favourite Quote

KerryS Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 "Finished" is not a credible concept in Westy world!! Anyway, looks good, enjoy!! Quote
Cleggy the Spyder Man Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Lovely job and an original amusing sticker ... built not bought is I am afraid not original our very own LocoR1 has had this on his car for some time does it not originate from the Locost forums? Quote
Westie66 Posted December 5, 2011 Author Posted December 5, 2011 Hi All and thanks for the replies. The side indicators are from Kit Spares but via ebay, they look the part and bright enough to see in daylight. Were ok for the IVA anyway. The Built not bought sticker was from ebay, there are a few designs on offer so definately not original just thought it was a good fit. I need to get myself down to the Cheshire meet and introduce myself, will check my diary. Quote
