jdinhants Posted November 5, 2003 Posted November 5, 2003 Just ordered new small lights from M & P but only supplied with horizontal bolt for fitting. Westfield standard headlamp bracket made for vertical bar underneath light to be bolted through the bracket. What have other people used or have you made something up yourselves? thanks J D Quote
Mark Stanton Posted November 5, 2003 Posted November 5, 2003 but only supplied with horizontal bolt for fitting. There's a horizontal bolt with which you can adjust headlight angle and below this is a "vertical" fixing which can be secured to plate Did you order correct ones have they sent you the correct ones have you a bit missing Quote
jdinhants Posted November 5, 2003 Author Posted November 5, 2003 Ordered same part number as on previous thread. No they have not been delivered and yes I have a part missing but thats another story. Made the mistake of asking M & P about the fixing so probably got the wrong info. Thanks for your help. Only need to make sure the Old Trout is not around when the delivery arrives. J D Quote
Mark Stanton Posted November 5, 2003 Posted November 5, 2003 They're actually bike lights and M&P deal with only bike stuff - so to be reasonable they would know too much about Westfields Has your car already passed SVA cos the lights won't - so see if you can borrow a set for SVA purposes and a "friendly" MOT tester helps once a year Quote
jdinhants Posted November 5, 2003 Author Posted November 5, 2003 Just upgrading 1997 Seiw ( everything ) so not involved with SVA. What bulbs are best for these lights Quote
felters Posted November 6, 2003 Posted November 6, 2003 Only need to make sure the Old Trout is not around when the delivery arrives. Not a problem that I have. Absolutely not. I wear the trousers in our house. If the memsahib steps out of line then she gets reminded of who is boss around here pretty smartly. However, just to ensure that someone is around to sign for the goods and for no other reason whatsoever, I do find that getting deliveries sent to work is useful. Quote

Mark Stanton Posted November 6, 2003 Posted November 6, 2003 What bulbs are best for these lights The ones that come with the lights Quote
Terry Everall Posted November 6, 2003 Posted November 6, 2003 Yes the bulbs supplied with the headlamos seem to work Terry Quote
jdinhants Posted November 6, 2003 Author Posted November 6, 2003 And there was me thinking a 40 watt screw in would be OK Many thanks for that piece of info. J D Quote
felters Posted November 6, 2003 Posted November 6, 2003 I take it that she does not have access to this site then?? No. Policy decision. You know how it is with women - don't want to fill their pretty little heads with anything technical. And anyway she'd slaughter me if she copped some of this stuff... Quote
