Mat Jackson Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 Just got some smart push button aluminium switches, similar to the R500 type. Just noticed that they are rated at 10amps, and the fuses in the hazards and lighting circuits are 15amps, so do I need a relay? I know these are a common fit, so what has everyone else done, and is there a tidy way of mounting relays into the loom rather than letting them dangle? Quote
adamnreeves Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 Mat, Remember these are a double poles switch so you could use both poles which split the current so you can achieve 20amps. You can get a relay socket that can hold five or so relays, kind of like a big fuse box. This is what I have used. Quote
