Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 No I wouldn't do suspension nuts you're potentially creating a real mare of a Job for yourself later on. They can be bad enough if they stick anyway. (likewise don't coat threads either!) Nuts ans bolts that've got really bad are best just replaced. Though bear in mind if you strip suspension fastenings out you'll probably need a geometry check/reset afterwards. Stopping fasteners rusting is what stuff like the spray on ACF50 or at least WD40 were born for Quote
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 BTW I read about a good tip on a different forum that if you put some cling film between tin and lid before sealing it - it stops the por15 bonding the metal lid on for good. Now that's a great tip. Quote
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 turn the tin upside down Tried that with other paints with no great success. (though in fairness that might just have been how long I left them, and/or frost affecting them.) Quote
