craig-c Posted October 23, 2003 Posted October 23, 2003 This is a question for all you Guru's out there i am ready to put my order in with Westfield for my diff, after seeing the posting in the for sale section, for the Freelander diff on ebay, i sent them a email asking them a few questions this was there reply, Hi, as far as i'm aware Freelander diffs are all the same, petrol and diesel. Both 3.2:1 ratio. Did they say their diffs are different?....... I would ask them exactly the difference, it may be Bull ! The odd one is LSD but not many, ours are standard open diff. I have sold them for people building bike engine kit cars in the past so i assume they are suitable. Westfield are a customer of ours, we build Escort diffs for them. Many thanks Mark. www.Abbeytransmission.co.uk Can anyone enlighten me on this? Quote
stu999 Posted October 23, 2003 Posted October 23, 2003 AFAIK, the factory use Freelander diff casings-the internals are Quaife IIRC.... And why would the factory want Escort Diffs? Quote
