Captain Colonial Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Went AWOL this afternoon and took The Wench for a blat in the glorious Warwickshire countryside. Not much traffic, nearly drained the tank! Stopped at a few pubs for refreshment, and what did I see in the main area of the Dirty Duck in Stratford-upon-Avon? Wait for it... It's still September right? A Christmas tree, lit and everything. I kid you not. I asked for the owner and informed him that when I came to power, this would be a capital punishment offence, Still, lovely day out there, hope you had a blat too. Quote
DerekJ Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 informed him that when I came to power, this would be a capital punishment offence, Ha! you swine. You stole my main manifesto idea. I'll bet you come up with banning PowerPoint presentations next. Quote

In Captainland, no mention of Christmas allowed before 1st December. I'm sick of seeing Christmas stuff before Remembrance Sunday. Anyone else blat today? Quote

lippydave Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Anyone else blat today? Don't think it counts as a blat (as it was in a tin top), but strafed a few north Wark's B roads in a Scooby just after 2pm today....whilst skiiving off... Quote
flyingbanana Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 No blat today, but will be tomorrow (and the weekend too I hope!) Quote
Wile E. Coyote Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Work is less than a mile from home... for some reason yesterday it took over an hour each way .... quite a bit of tasty kit out enjoying the sun round here. May head up to the hills this afternoon if I can get away early (hopefully fewer tuned Golfs getting arsey/trying to start races - seemed to be a lot of these characters about yesterday). Quote
flyingbanana Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Yes, somehow took me half an hour to do 6 miles... Quote
Hammy Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Went to get mine out today for a trip to work and noticed a big pool of oil on the floor - luckily its just the filler cap had come loose, but it was a mess so I pushed in back in the garage. Still I have done 200 sunny miles this week ho hum. Quote
