Darrell O'Neill Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 I know we have a few bikers on here, so I could do with some help and advice on helmet choices for my 5yr olds. Ive found an ebay deal for a Bieffe helmet at sub £25... whilst im usually not one for cheap protective gear, the helmets would only be used for the kids to muck around on a 50cc quad bike and mini moto. maybe the occasional short couple of mile blat in the westfield too. The spec for the helmet is as follows, do the quoted EC numbers mean anything? or would they be just aswell protected in the 'fireman sam' play helmet they have? Cheers This helmet should retail at £44.99 and has the following outstanding features: Tough, lightweight thermoplastic painted shell. ECE 2205 homologation - fully legal in UK and EU. Seat belt type retention system. Chin and crown air vent system. Soft grey velvet inner lining for super comfort ! Weight only 1350 grammes. Anti-scratch visor. Full base trim. Quote

jerryhzx12 Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 A few years since I had a bike, but if you want some help with helmets, there's a shop in Leamington , www.babybiker.com which does a good range of kid's leathers helmets etc. and gave good advice when I wanted some kit for my daughter who was about 7 at the time.
