Fitting vx into westy

Recommended Posts

Im currently rebuilding 20XE engine to go in my soon(hopefully)to be aquired westy.

Wanting to do things properly the engine has been stripped right down, and I am going to need new pistons, rebore etc, etc.I will be fitting either a QED or SBD kit at some point.Ive resigned myself to the fact that it is going to cost a small fortune, however I dont want any unexpected expenses when it comes to fitting the engine.

I know about changing the rod bolts, and fitting a short sump.

Do I need a remote oil filter, or is it just an adapter on the existing housing?

What i really want is a definitive list of stuff I will need to run and fit this engine with approx costs.

Also haveing done a search Im still a bit confused.

Which clutch cover and plate do I need to use.I am having the existing flywheel lightened slightly, but the car will be mainly for road use.

Cheers

Mark
