THE CAR IS NOW SOLD.

The time has come to sell my immaculate black factory-built Westfield.  I will be placing the advertisement on Pistonheads at some time but I thought it correct for any interested parties on this Boardroom to have first choice.

This car is a 1996 ZEIW (not to be confused with SEIW), which has the front Wishbones enclosed, giving a cleaner line to the frontal area.

I have owned the car for 6 years and in that time, the enjoyment I have had with the car has been immense.  The comfort of the car on the road, the great way in which the Engine delivers the power in such a driveable way and of course the heads that turn as I drive by.

The current mileage is just 13,000 and have all MOT certificates to confirm annual mileage.

So, a little about the car.  Under the bonnet, we have an unleaded Green Top Ford Cosworth turbocharged engine producing a totally unstressed 224bhp at 6,200rpm and 229ft/lbf of torque at 3,500rpm.  The Cylinder block is a 200 which I believe was the strongest available for road going.

The Gearbox is a Borg Warner T5 of renowned strength, incorporating a well-chosen set of ratios with the all-important long 1st Gear.

The Differential assembly is a 3.62 LSD.

So, that is the big-ticket information, so now I will list the other items that may be of interest to you.

 Factory built in 1996 to order

 Front and rear Brake discs replaced over the last two years (Front discs axially ventilated)

 Front brake ducts built in to front wings

 Camshaft drive belt replaced last year

 New high capacity Pacet fan and Kenlowe temperature adjuster

 Red Willens 3” 4-point seat belts with aircraft buckles (both will take a fifth strap)

 Ducted nose

 Rear valance

 Under-slung exhaust with no silencer (the Turbocharger keeps the exhaust quiet)

 Full colour co-ordinated Roof and Tonneau cover (hardly used)

 Colour co-ordinated Wilton carpets

 Colour co-ordinated steering wheel with Racetec quick release

 Side screens

 Wind deflectors

 Lockable boot

 Immobiliser

 Pioneer radio/cassette player

 Contoured dashboard

 15” wheels with 205/55/15 Goodyear Eagle tyres

 Unused spare tyre

 H4 headlamps

 Rubber fuel hosing replaced two years ago

 Chrome suspension and springs

 Chrome roll hoop

 Battery Conditioner (The Conditioner is wired direct to the battery with a connection made near the nearside headlamp for ease)

 Full set of spare keys and immobiliser fob

 MOT to July 2012

Now the bad points.  There is a very small star on the offside front wing and a chip on the lower offside of the windscreen.  These have been there since I purchased the car.

This is an immaculate example of a Westfield and frankly, the images do not do justice as they are a little old now.  You need to see the car to understand the condition.

The asking price is just £10,995.

Excluding Maverick and Goose, a road test can be arranged but you must hold a certificate of insurance and the road test will not be carried out in the rain.

As a bye, check out the Cosworth powered car on Pistonheads for a further £2k.

Thank you for looking.

Fantastic spec and awesome looking build!

Shame you're selling Bob - if the pictures don't 'do it justice' then this is one superb vehicle because it looks brilliant in the Pics!

I have been a passenger in this car and can confirm it is  immaculate and the power delivery is very smooth, the engine is very flexible with no nasty "switch" when the turbo comes in. Goes very well !!

The wind deflectors work well allowing you to breath at speed and not suffer ear damage

If I had the cash I'd buy it without hesitation.

I know you are interested in doing a bike Bob, I could swap you for a rusty Raleigh Wisp frame if you want.
