Dunlop Systems and Components wishes to announce that it is seeking a new owner for the Foreman Mk4 kit car business. Dunlop purchased the original business from founder Neil Foreman in November 2008. The acquisition included all original jigs and tooling for the assembly of the vehicle. Also, included in the sale are a wealth of spare parts a full assembly instructions and a list of potential client leads.

In addition to this ...

Since this acquisition Dunlop has developed its own web-site www.foremanmk4.com. There has been a broad CAD exercise detailing all key component items. There has been a healthy interest in spare parts sales in the US; Japan and New Zealand and in Europe included customers from The Netherlands.

During July 2009, Dunlop purchased a donor vehicle with the intention of completing its own demo car for shows and future sales. Regrettably the original resources assigned to this project have been allocated other activities and the vehicle remains a partial build. However the vast majority of parts needed for completion and a full bill of materials are available.

Additional business focus and commitments for the next 2 years has led to the conclusion that Dunlop are now very unlikely to be able to progress the demo car in an effective manner.

For this reason Dunlop seeks a keen enthusiast that can dedicate the required love and attention to detail that the original vehicle Neil Foreman created fully deserves. This is a great opportunity for someone who desires a vehicle of this calibre - and offers so much more also.

I want to emphasise that DSC bought the business from Neil Foreman with the very best intention of continuing his excellent work; it is with regret we did not achieve what we set out to do. Nonetheless it is our intention to pass this business onto somebody who we believe has a similar passion for the vehicle as Neil to hopefully ensure the longevity of the project.

When the business is sold the basic sale items are as follows –

• 50% complete demo car with log book – EKR 848 T.

• All jigs / fixtures / tooling needed to build the car from scratch.

• The body shell mould tools.

• All spare parts.

• Instruction manuals.

• Comprehensive list of all individuals that contacted DSC showing an interest in either spare parts / kits / turn-key solutions. (over 50+ contacts).

• The CAD drawing files.

• Neil Foreman’s original drawings.

• A list of all the suppliers.

• The ownership of the Foreman Mk4. Website.

If there is anyone interested in owning the rights to this special part of Kit Car history, please contact Mick Canham – 02476 613902 / 07808 655087 or e-mail mick.canham@dunlopsystems.com for a full explanation of exactly what is on offer.

It IS a Ferrari P4 replica  :bangshead:  I thought everyone had heard of the Foreman P4 kits

The one in the pic was built by a friend of mine and was sadly destroyed by fire at a shakedown run when an oil line came loose and sprayed on the hot exhaust

He's about to take delivery of an MP4-12C shortly  :0    ;)

Oh, and in case you don't know, Neil Foreman went on to create Car Builder Solutions the purveyor of very useful bits to kit car enthusiasts  :t-up:

I spoke to Neil Foreman a couple of years ago when they were selling the rights the first time and he thought they had more-or-less exhausted the market for P4 replicas, which one has to say is limited.   :)

Palestines

The P4 is possibly the most beautiful sports racer ever built, there are only three in the wild and they're worth up to $10m

A Foreman P4 with a V12 Ferrari drive train, is simply breathtaking, certainly build-able for under £100k, used, they've changed hands for £30k-£40k with real running gear.

Of course there's a limited market for them, having the right stuff (taste) and the right money is rare, that's why so many bw**kers buy 599s/Murcielagos/Zondas etc.

The Can Am is a wet dream on wheels

A bit of me says take it on, the cars look fantastic, especially the open top.      Then the sensible bit says, nope, there just aren't enough customers out there  :bangshead:

If the might of Dunlop couldnt fund it, find the time and resource. What does that tell you?
