POC Posted November 9, 2002 Posted November 9, 2002 Afternoon everyone, Just thought I'd let you know I have just put a deposit down on my new toy! Shes a factory ZEi220, one of the limited edition jobbies, only 18 (?) ever made! The test drive was fantastic, I have never been in a car that was as fast as this westie was (and I've driven some serious machines!, the acceleration was brutal and the noises fantastic (although my head went numb from the cold!! - note to self, grow some hair!. The car itself has had a few upgrades and is running c.330bhp with c.300 ft/lbs torque using a cosworth turbo engine. Cant wait until next weekend!!! Paul Quote
Chris Elworthy Posted November 9, 2002 Posted November 9, 2002 Dear POC We are trying to get a Cossie engined Westfield Register going, although most of us run Nat Asp - are you up for it ? Where are you based ? Quote
7 Heaven Posted November 9, 2002 Posted November 9, 2002 Well done Paul and welcome. Make sure you join the WSCC (ha ha beat Mr Stanton ) John Quote
Bananaman Posted November 9, 2002 Posted November 9, 2002 Sounds FANTASTIC what tyres are you runing/burning? Andy Quote
Ian Gratton Posted November 10, 2002 Posted November 10, 2002 Thats great news Paul. I think you made the right decision not buying the twin engined jobby. I'm sure you will have hours and hours of fun. I spent a fair amount of time in John Fs ZEi220 and they are brutal with the turbo charger. Now... are you going to bring the toy to the bedford SIDC day ? come have a play with Craig and myself. Now in your usual style - how may days/weeks do you think you'll be able to own it for Ian. Mark Stanton Posted November 10, 2002 Posted November 10, 2002 Make sure you join the WSCC (ha ha beat Mr Stanton Thanks John I was out supping beer and delivering carrots till the early hours Quote
POC Posted November 10, 2002 Author Posted November 10, 2002 Thanks guys! Cant wait! Chris, yeah im up for getting something going, drop me an email and we can discuss it further. Bananaman, its running standard factory AVON rubber (by the current owners own admission they are a little too hard for the car), I think the first thing I will be doing is change the rubber to something softer/stickier, any ideas? I may even change the wheels to super leggies Hi Ian, I will DEF be along to trackdays next year, thats half the point of this car, I dont think I will be doing any this year though as the weather is now too sh1tty, we had the wheels spinning in 4th gear yesterday (while chasing a noble on the m3 ). I have been talking to craig regarding getting a few nutters together for a laugh at brunters in the near future...... Heres a pic of the little beastie, im sure a few of you will recognise it Quote
