Any one fitted a heat detector in their garage? If so how reliable are they and how sensitive to dust are they? Some of the ones I've seen advertised mention they come with a dust cover for when your working. Which I'd either forget to put on or take off again.

Cheap ones are crap.. you want a "rate of change" one.. that senses rapid rises..the cheapones are just bi-metal strips
