kirkyboy5 Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Hi, Today whilst driving the westie I stopped at traffic lights and noticed it was very difficult to get it into 1st. So hard infact that I resulted in putting it into 2nd just to pull away from the lights. I noticed its quite difficult to get it into reverse also and makes little 'clunk' when enganging in reverse. This seems to only happen when the motor is up to temp, any ideas??? Thanks Dan Quote

kirkyboy5 Posted August 6, 2011 Author Posted August 6, 2011 tHe clutch pedal seems fine to me and the biting point is pretty normal really :/ Dan Quote

SteveD Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 take off the gear lever gator and see if the lever goes onto a metal plate or onto the alloy gearbox , remove the three bolts holding the lever in place and check the plastic clip on shim is in place they have been known to dissintigrate and give the symtoms you describe with and without the extension Quote
