Part built value?

Have been offered an 85% built Zetec Westie SEIW, (with brand new 2005 Zetec engine and Jenveys).

Needs finishing and IVA ing, it was a brand new 2005 kit.

Westfield two tone sport seats, Westfield chrome pack, std roll over hoop, basically everyting as per std build.

What does the collective thinks is a reasonable market value?

From the couple of pic's I've seen car looks to be well put together

No intention to cause controversy over pricing, just want to get a feel for what's on offer.

PM me if you don't want to upset the collective

Waiting on a few more details on car, ie managment etc

Given that you may well have to pull it apart to get a build diary and it may need parts to finish, I would be offering around 5K - 6k ish for it. Complete its worth around 9k to 10k but it will cost you a few £ and a few man hours to get it on the road.

Just been shown some pics of the build, looks   nice.... All receipts present and correct, built completely from brand new parts.....Looks nearly 90% finshed to me....

Still waiting to find out what engine management and a few more details.....

If it's all new parts, how will you stand on certificate of newness, or will you not bother about a "new" reg?

FWIW, I'd be looking, considering the cost of IVA and the time consuming detail stuff to get there at at least a couple of grand below what it would sell for registered/plated etc. And that's assuming a car that looked well built. One that was a bit rougher round the edges I'd be thinking more like three below.

oooh, don't worry I intend to kick him in the b*lloocks big time price wise......

He reckons most of the parts were bought from Westfield (more money than sense obviously!) and all bits are receipted..

Bearing in mind I've only see pics on an iphone, it does look really well executed in a bright well lit, well equipped workshop.....

It's a chap I work with, in his mid fifties and known at work for his anally retentive attention to detail.. :D

He's moving jobs and house and having a clearout.

I think the biggest obstacle will be to get him to take the right money for it.....Reallstically he ought to pay someone to finish it off and sell it registered, but I ain't gonna tel him that am I?    :D

:)  :D  :D

The bloke who has it up for sale is a really nice fella, and I like him a lot, but that doesn't mean I want to give him any more money than is absolutely necessary if I go for it...

He's not linked up the boardroom, he looked positively puzzled when I asked if he'd thought about advertising it on here.....

I've known him for a couple of years and even helped him with some motorcyle stuff, but I had absolutely no idea that he had a Westie at home in the garage....

As far as him finding the boardroom, hopefully in this instance ignorance is bliss          ....

It is... and for a reasonable fee, it can stay that way (Hint hint...! ;)  :D )

Maybe he'd like to take a pianola in part-ex?  I hear they're worth a lot of money these days!  ???

Always worth having a quick chat with him to see how clued up on IVA, (or SVA at the time), requirements he is. Even just simple things like p-clip/support spacing on brake lines and fuel lines. Sounds like he's probably well clued up, but it's the stuff that can be a right ball ache to put right once the builds got past a certain point.  :D (And makes great leverage for screwing the price down  :p )
