carpetstu Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 For the past few weeks life has been a bit of an , business was quiet money a little tight and stress was a little high...but after today it doesn't matter so much.... Ths morning a very good friend lost her new born shortly after birth. (it's the second time.) Suddenly my problems are not so bad! Give your kids and loved ones a big hug and be grateful for lifes miracles tonight ! Quote
Captain Colonial Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Very sorry to hear that, devastating to go through all of that anticipation and worry and discomfort, and then be cruelly denied once, let alone twice. Does put things into perspective. Always seems to happen to the couples who would make wonderful parents too, while you see irresponsible oiks living off the state successfully breeding like rabbits. Life can be very unfair sometimes. Quote
Jenko Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 What a terrible shame....after very nearly loosing our little lad I feel very much the same....puts a different perspective on life, and makes you think about what really is important...of which the answer is health and happiness. Quote
lippydave Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Life can be terribly cruel..... Give her yer love and support Stu, it's all you can do... Things like this happening to friends can really put yer life in perspective can't it? Quote
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Life's a terribly short and precious thing; such sad news, a time just to be there, and do what you can. Quote
Matt Seabrook Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Very sad news. Some times life just does not seem just. Quote
GALLY Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 I cant imagine anything worse or just what the couple must be going through, my thoughts are with them. My wife gave birth on Sunday just gone, there were difficulties but both mother/wife and child should be home today. Quote
Rusty Nuts Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Hi Stu, As every body has said give them all your support and love! is all you can do. Quote
Andy Banks Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Me and SWMBO have been in a similar situation ourselves a couple of times. It's simply an awful thing to happen to anyone. How strong must our partners be to be able to cope and move on and try again... bless them. Our sympathies, thoughts and understsanding are with your friend. Quote
carpetstu Posted August 5, 2011 Author Posted August 5, 2011 Thanks for your kind words and support. I will pass on your kindness and thoughts! Quote
RedditchJay Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Thats sooooo sad....... not good........ Quote
Captain Colonial Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Just wanted to add that sometimes the father doesn't get the support he needs, because quite naturally most of the concern is directed towards the mother, and its not always understood how bereaved the father is as well. Males also tend to bottle their emotions up and focus on supporting the mother, who can wrongly feel responsible and guilty, which doesn't help their own situation. Hope you can help make sure everyone supports them both. Quote
carpetstu Posted August 5, 2011 Author Posted August 5, 2011 the situation with the Father compounds the poor girls issues. He isn't around as he did a very big "leg it" when he found out she was pregnant She has had as much luck with guys as she has with other parts of her life. Its a shame because she is a nice girl and a hard worker too. Quote
