I gave £4k for mine in November 02, it was a non runner, chassis had sat in owners garage for 6 years, body in his garden  :0  :0 , have spent approx £3k on refurb including new calipers, disks, linings, wheel refurb, tyres, fuel pump, gaskets, filters, Kenlowe, top end strip/rebuild, electrics, lights, wiring etc. plus many hours sanding and polishing paintwork / perspex.

Paul Matty had 2 for sale last month in his add in Classic & Sports Car, both at £9750  :0  :0  :D  :D. They were gone this month so I guess he sold them.

Must say that not withstanding previously owned mild exotica I have never been approached so often by so many asking so much, best offer yet was at Woburn Abbey Tiger Moth fly-in, swapped a ride in mine for a ride in his :D  :D Just love the sound of a Gypsy Major, upside down, until it stops

Westfield built about 160 between 1983 and 1985, most of which went across the pond, the last 20 with Rover V8. Chris Smith thought there were about 20 left in the UK. The factory still have the body molds and all the perspex can still be bought from White and Ellerton in Borehamwood (ask for George).

Albert, in terms of cockpit size, are they more like a standard bodied Westy or would a 6' 3" person be able to fit in and drive one ?

I've always had a hankering for a Westfield 11 but I've never had the chance to try one for size.

I am 5' 8" and don't fit comfortably because the pedals are too far away. The seat consists of a padded cushion for your a$%e and the rear cockpit (padded) panel which is shaped, i.e there's no adjusment. In road cars I normally have the seat on the rear most stop cos I like my arms and legs pretty straight.

I recently gave a ride to my cousin who is 6' 3" and plays number eight for the Canada U21 rugby team. He sat behind the wheel and looked pretty tight, mostly because his feet didn't fit in the pedal box  :0  :0

Assuming I go mad and fit a 4AGE this winter I will probably make a race car type polystyrene seat back to get comfortable when and if I venture on to a track. I 've finally given up the idea of a 16v DOHC crossflow head for the 'A' series because all the other mods necessary to stop the 180bhp spreading itself in bits take the cost over £15k  :0  :0  (bottom end, box, back axle, diff, etc.)

I used to own a Midget many years ago, I would say that there is maybe a touch more room in the Eleven  :)  :)

Cheers for the piccies !!

I'm not sure if it's a good or a bad thing that there's a good chance I might fit in one !!  SWMBO will be *soooo* impressed if I find another car related project....

Seems like there's a few dotted about here in the US so I'm going to get in touch with some owners and see if there are any restoration projects kicking about for sensible money.
