iphone dash mounting options for

no screen or vent to stick a standard phone type mount to -

it's an iphone 4 - I want to fit something permanent if possible and maybe wire it in for charging if I can find a suitble product (if not fag type charger socket will do)

what have you guys done?

I've already got the Tom Tom cradle/dock for the iPhone, which though dear has always worked well, so I've just mounted the suction cup base that came with the dock on the dash, and wired in a charger socket.

It's never bothered me before, but after the Stoneleigh run and a weekend's jaunt in Wales, sat nav suddenly looked a great idea.   It's worked really well, better ear buds, or a connection to an intercom type set up may be better still for use with a helmet, but the standard iPhone ear piece thingies just about work.

I have a vinyl dash so that is not gonna work for me - I assume the suction cups stick well to carbon fibre/plastic dashes?

I suppose I could mount a shiney surface to the dash if needed

Get a cheapo iphone case, stick some velcro to the back of it and the other bit to wherever you want on ya Westie.

Velco hold bumpers on Artics so it should hold ya phone just fine
