gregh Posted July 24, 2003 Posted July 24, 2003 anyone know wether this will fit? My plastic Rover one is looking a little tired and this looks the dogs IMHO. link here Quote
DAVE O Posted July 24, 2003 Posted July 24, 2003 Greg That is exactly the same one as I have fitted. The only issue for you would be the size of the existing hole in your bodywork. You can use some flexible pipe to join up with the tank behind. Dave O. Quote
DutchWestfield Posted July 24, 2003 Posted July 24, 2003 Greg, I have fitted this filler cap: It is a standard Westfield item. If I look closely at your pictures I think that the filler cap in your pictures is not designed to accept a (big) hose on the rear, but is supposed to be bolted to a flange. The one I have is designed to accept a hose: Hope this helps Quote
studbuckle Posted July 24, 2003 Posted July 24, 2003 Also looks identical to the one on mine, only mine has the aero style spring loaded flap for the nozzle and breather holes around the edge Quote
gregh Posted July 24, 2003 Author Posted July 24, 2003 the official westie one is £93 + VAT + postage Quote
adhawkins Posted July 24, 2003 Posted July 24, 2003 I think Merlin sell them...not sure about price, but probably cheaper than Westfield. Andy Quote
Blatman Posted July 24, 2003 Posted July 24, 2003 This link should take you straight to filler caps..... Quote
adhawkins Posted July 24, 2003 Posted July 24, 2003 I was just looking for the right page when the boss walked in... Figured the home page link would suffice! Andy Quote
Blatman Posted July 24, 2003 Posted July 24, 2003 I was just being a smart A***............. Besides, one upmanship is a good game. especially when I'm not a computer pro, and you are....... Taxi.............. Quote
adam1330 Posted July 24, 2003 Posted July 24, 2003 I have similar on mine. I had to order some spare keys, so I phoned up Westfield and was told that they get the filler caps from a company called Newton Equipment. Their address is Ajax Works, Hertford road, Barking, Essex, IG11 8DY. Quote
stu999 Posted July 24, 2003 Posted July 24, 2003 anyone know wether this will fit? My plastic Rover one is looking a little tired and this looks the dogs IMHO. Do you have the fuel cap that is inset into the bodywork? If so, then it may not. Or at least, not quite so easily..... Quote
